guatemala Mission Trip Information

May 26 – June 2, 2018

Guatemala 2018 is going to be a life changing trip. Please pray that the Lord will prepare our hearts as well as those we will encounter on this incredible journey.

Compassion International:

We will be traveling to Guatemala with Compassion International and working alongside a local church for a week as they minister to children in their community who are in desperate poverty. Compassion is a child sponsorship organization that works in local churches, but please know that you do not have to be a sponsor to go on this trip!

Cost:

The cost of the trip will be approximately $2000 per person. The first deposit of $300 will be due at the beginning of December.

Daily Itinerary:

We will learn more at the time grows closer, but we are expecting to do crafts, games, music and sports for part of each day and a service project for the other part of each day. Be ready to jump in with both feet!  There will be something that everyone can do!

Team Meetings:

We will meet together as a team periodically until the trip to build trust in each other and prepare for ministry in a country overwhelmed by poverty. This will be an

important part of preparing for this trip.

Passport:

If you do not currently have a valid passport, then applying for your passport is your first priority.   You can go to http://travel.state.gov/passport for all the information you will need.

Learn the Language:

Although we will have translators with us, it will greatly enhance your trip if you can take some time to learn as much Spanish as you can.

Please contact Jeff Martin with any additional questions that you may have.
